These few storage tips will ensure that you find your winter tyres in excellent condition next season:
- Before removing the tyres, mark their position on the car.
This will allow you to swap them round for next winter, to even out their wear and tear. - Wash the wheels and tyres with water and dry them thoroughly to reduce oxidation.
- Remove any foreign objects (such as small stones) embedded in the tread.
- If the tyres are fitted to rims, store them flat or suspended:
If they have been removed from the rims, store them upright or flat. - Store tyres in a dry, dark and cool place, and, above all, away from hydrocarbons (petrol, oils).
